Buyer Assistant (Tacoma, WA)

Pay: $26-30/hr
Shift: Monday-Friday | 7am-4pm

Operating from our state-of-the-art 100,000 square foot facility in Tacoma, WA, we offer fully customizable solutions driven by project needs and expert design teams. We are experiencing remarkable growth and are seeking an energetic, proactive Assistant Buyer to contribute to our success.

Reports to: Purchasing Manager

Date: May 2024


  • Perform vendor research and selection to optimize profitability, reduce operating costs, and enhance efficiency.
  • Manage purchase orders, shipping schedules, and purchase records, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of materials.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify advantageous purchase agreements and potential vendors.
  • Assist Buyers in creating and improving vendor management processes, including compliance requirements related to purchasing and inventory control.
  • Coordinate small, quick-turn projects and provide administrative support as needed.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative role.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills, with the ability to track multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
  • Passion for customer and company satisfaction, with a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain regular attendance.
