Production Supervisor - Cabinets (Swing Shift) (Tacoma, WA)

Pay: $28-32/hr 

Schedule: M-F | 12:30pm-10pm 

Frontier Door + Cabinet is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our cabinet department at our manufacturing facility in Tacoma, WA. This role will oversee all activities related to the creation of commercial and residential cabinets, ensuring timely and efficient production while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong background in manufacturing, a keen eye for detail, and exceptional communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute production schedules, providing supervision and direction to production employees.
  • Allocate resources effectively to minimize downtime and ensure completion of scheduled activities.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency.
  • Establish key performance metrics to monitor productivity and drive continuous improvement in standard work procedures.
  • Coordinate work orders to meet production schedules, providing regular status updates and tracking progress.
  • Serve as a technical troubleshooter, addressing issues as they arise and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and conforms to established procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to production employees, fostering a positive work environment and resolving any issues or conflicts.
  • Promote a culture of growth and initiative, sharing the company’s vision and values with team members.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Control processes and verification checklists for cabinet production.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on departmental improvements and achievements.

Experience and Education

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both management and staff. Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints.
  • Knowledgeable about safety protocols and practices.
  • Agile and flexible, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Capacity for leadership and teamwork, with a commitment to fostering a positive work culture.

  • Standing for extended periods, up to 10 hours per day, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.
  • Fine motor skills required for handling tools and controls.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Regular use of conveyance systems and rollers to move materials.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Frontier Door and Cabinet’s Safety Program and all established safety rules must be followed, and equipment used where required. This will include safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection (when needed) while on the production floor.
