Hardware Quality Assurance Associate (Tacoma, WA)

Pay: $23-$27/hr

Schedule: Mon-Fri | 6:00am-2:30pm

The Quality Assurance Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality for all orders picked for delivery at our storage facility. This position is responsible for conducting detailed inspections, maintaining accurate records of all orders, and identifying areas for improvement in our quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Order Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of all orders picked for delivery to ensure they meet the specified criteria, including product quality, quantity, and packaging standards.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all inspections, findings, and corrective actions taken. Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of quality assurance records.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and report any issues or discrepancies in the picking and delivery process. Collaborate with the operations team to develop and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure all quality assurance activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and inventory teams to align quality assurance practices with overall facility objectives. Provide feedback and training to staff on quality standards and procedures.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on quality assurance metrics, challenges, and improvements to the Quality Assurance Manager and senior leadership.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance or a related field, preferably within a warehouse or storage facility environment.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies and errors.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and standard office software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and move within the storage facility for extended periods.
  • The Quality Assurance Associate may be required to lift or move products and materials as part of the inspection process.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, may be required based on operational needs.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Frontier Door and Cabinet’s Safety Program and all established safety rules must be followed, and equipment used where required.  This will include safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection (when needed) while on the production floor.
