Construction Administrative Assistant (El Paso, TX)

Pay: $15-17/hr 

Schedule: M-F 

This position is responsible for supporting the Residential Cabinet department with general office tasks and periodically travel to job sites.

FLSA: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Reports to: Vice President

Date: March 2024

ESSENTIAL DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet ongoing business needs or additional duties may be assigned per employee’s growth and development.

  • Assisting assigned department with clerical and office duties.
  • Daily use of Microsoft Office Suite products (including Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other internal systems).
  • Handling incoming and outgoing calls with customers. 
  • Update and maintain online and local databases.
  • Communicating company updates to internal employees, collecting, and mailing correspondence, copying information.
  • Enhances the organization’s reputation and scope of role by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and adding value to job accomplishments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Construction environment experience or one year experience in a similar role.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to allow you to effectively communicate with our diverse team and client base.
  • Education requirements may be substituted with a combination of relevant experience and education.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Proficient with web browsers, search portals, online data retrieval.
  • Excellent communication, phone/administrative skills.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.

Requirements

Good driving record and ability to travel via personal vehicle to multiple job sites.

  • Sitting 6-8 hours per day.  There is the option to stand while working.

Safety Equipment

Frontier Door and Cabinet’s Safety Program and all established safety rules must be followed, and equipment used where required.  This will include safety glasses, safety boots, and hearing protection if out on the production floor or job site.
