Jr. Construction Sales Estimator (Tacoma, WA or Phoenix, AZ)

Pay: $28.85 to 31.25 per hour

The Jr. Construction Sales Estimator is responsible for driving business development and growth initiatives for our door business in Western and Southwestern market. We are looking for someone with construction experience who is coachable, energetic, growth oriented, and highly motivated to learn the door business directly from an experienced executive team member. Must have strong service-orientedapproach.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Door and hardware estimating and quoting for large scale projects.
  • Customer forward representative cultivating long term relationships.
  • Sales prospecting and making follow-up calls.
  • Solid understanding of the sales process and life cycle.
  • Motivated self-starter who enjoys a collaborative environment with a solid team.
  • Maintain consistent and dependable attendance, recognizing that this role requires exceptional
    dedication to demanding hours and the flexibility to accommodate dynamic schedules. Read
    and interpret architectural blueprints for information pertaining to cabinet layout and design.
  • Scale drawings and prepare material take-offs for accurate bidding and pricing.
  • Assist with creation of technical reports, subcontracts, purchase orders, project updates, and
    proposals.
  • Identify and resolve deviations from proposals, including scope and specifications.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Operations to ensure all costs are captured.
  • Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done.
  • Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyer.
  • Maintain consistent and dependable attendance, recognizing that this role requires exceptional
    dedication to demanding hours and the flexibility to accommodate dynamic schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Relevant industry specific experience.
  • Experience may be substituted for academic knowledge with a minimum of 5+ years proven work experience in Project or Construction Management, preferably with cabinets.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be able to read construction plans and specifications.
  • Comfortable going out to job sites, unaccompanied.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Excel experience is a requirement; Bluebeam is preferred. MS Office environment is core to
    company communication.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Read tape measure, basic math, including fractions.
  • Skilled, creative, and confident presenter and negotiator.
  • Computer literacy- Excel (intermediate), Word, email and internet.
  • Agility and Blue Beam experience is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of blueprints and architectural plans.
  • Knowledge of Project Management software and other Microsoft Office tools to track, monitor,
    and report job site progress, coordination, spend, job site activities, and other tasks as needed.
  • Ability to understand read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
    maintenance. instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Task and detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Collaborates and influences appropriately.
  • Excellent written and professional verbal communication skills.
  • A sense of urgency and a passion for customer and company satisfaction.
  •  Excel at meeting deadlines and milestones.
  • Ability to work schedule as assigned.

This role operates primarily in a professional office environment within Frontier Door and Cabinet’s Tacoma, WA OR Phoenix, AZ facilities.
