Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily Doors (El Paso)

Pay: $20-25 Per Hour

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting project management activities within the construction sector. This position requires a strong understanding of project management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. The Assistant Project Manager will assist in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with established quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce submittals, detail orders, and order materials as requested by Project Manager.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and shipping departments to get materials to jobsites on-time and complete.
  • Oversee variable aspects of projects and provide direct assistance to ensure timely project execution.
  • Overview project goals and ensure project goals are achievable.
  • Liaise with project lead and other project managers to maintain project schedule and efficacy.
  • Assist with procuring materials and other items necessary for completing project goals.
  • Review project implementation and gather data on project execution.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other project leads following project execution.
  • Conducting administrative duties, such as setting up meetings, drafting invoices and drawing estimates.
  • Maintain consistent and dependable attendance, recognizing that this role requires exceptional dedication to demanding hours and the flexibility to accommodate dynamic schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and experience

  • High School diploma or GED.  
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in assisting Project Managers with running multiple construction installation projects at one time or similar type of position.
  • A combination of education and related experience may substitute for education requirements.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Computer literacy- Excel (intermediate user experience), Word, email and internet required.
  • Blue-Beam and Emullion or other cabinet, casework, door, and frame industry specific software.
  • Build a full submittal package, creating cabinet, casework, door, door frame, and hardware schedules.
  • Knowledge of Project Management software and other Microsoft Office tools to track, monitor, and report job site progress, coordination, spend, job site activities, and other tasks as needed.
  • Strong understanding of blueprints and architectural plans.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Task and detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Collaborates and influences appropriately.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and milestones.
  • Good written and professional verbal communication skills.
  • Able to exercise good judgment.
  • A sense of urgency and a passion for customer and company satisfaction.
  • Ability to understand read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
  • Ability to work schedule as assigned.
