This position is responsible for delivery to job sites Responsible for transporting cabinets and doors to job sites using different kinds of trucks, including heavy or tractor-trailer trucks. Operates trucks with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds per gross vehicle weight over a variety of distances. Once at the job site, the driver is responsible to ensure the product is unloaded safely and without damage.
-Must maintain acceptable driving record and current CDL requirements.
-Fully understands how to operate and safely drive the vehicle assigned to.
-Ensure contents of truck are properly secured in truck, flatbed to prevent damage or injury.
-Follow all safety laws while loading/unloading, delivering shipments.
-Deliver goods while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or out of state.
-Must comply with all Company and job site requirements.
-Load and unload cargo, this may involve use of pallet jacks and/or hand trucks to move items that weigh 100 lbs. on a hand truck.
-Record amount and type of cargo being delivered. Confirm that the contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document.
-Take orders for new delivers.
-Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
-Report to supervisor regarding any incidents encountered on the road.
-Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
-Follow all applicable traffic laws.
-Inspect their trailer before and after the trip. Record any defects to immediate Supervisor or member of management. Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
-Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
-Keep a log of activities and trips per DOT requirements.
-Keep the truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.
-Plan routes using maps or satellite tracking.
-Get products to client on time and undamaged.
-High School diploma or GED.
-At least 1 year of work-related experience or proven experience in commercial truck driving.
-Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required.
-Clean driving record with no moving violations
-Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles
-Ability to work with a wide variety of tools including the following: Roller for plastic, screw drivers, tape measure, and others.
-Able to use material handling equipment, pallet jacks and forklifts.
-Ability to understand read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
-Awareness about safety issues and alertness to avoid any mishap.
-Professional communication and demeanor.
-Comfortable with long-haul transport
-Proficient using GPS and other routing systems.
-Map reading and route planning experience.
-Self-starter who works well independently as this role can be minimally managed at times.
-Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
-High level of composure and good stress management

-Sitting and standing approximately 8-10 hours, 5 days a week, depending on business need. May be required to work 6 days/week depending on business need.
-Use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, particularly reading that may be very fine print.
-The employee will regularly be twisting, bending, squatting, pushing, and moving. The employee will frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.

-While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration.

Frontier Door and Cabinet’s Safety Program and all established safety rules must be followed, and equipment used where required. This will include safety glasses and hearing protection. This position will also require use of gloves, safety glasses, and dust masks and at times a respirator.
